Mr Sameer Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Jakson Group took charge as Chairman of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Northern Region for the year 2019-20 at the Annual Regional Meeting and Business Conference held in Chandigarh on March 7, 2019.

Mr Gupta will head the CII Northern Region which comprises Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Union Territory Chandigarh.

Elaborating on the priorities for the 2019-20, Mr Gupta said, “Our initiatives for the year would primarily focus on enhancing industry competitiveness, fostering ground for favourable industry policies, skill development and inclusivity, adoption of contemporary technology and innovations and working towards provisioning opportunities for industrial growth & development.”
